At LandLümmel in Borken-Marbeck, young and old explorers can romp, play, and simply be kids to their heart’s content – just like in the old days, without any fuss, but with plenty of movement and adventure.

The heart of our attraction is our play barn, which can be visited year-round – even exclusively for birthday parties, family celebrations, or other events upon request. Here, big and little LandLümmel visitors can romp around in the hay, slide, or climb a real climbing tree all the way up to the attic.

During our summer season, we also offer a large outdoor area with a free scavenger hunt in our miscanthus maze, petting zoo, pedal car course, bouncy cushions, the big water slide, and much more. We’re constantly coming up with new ideas for our big and little guests.

And when there’s something to celebrate, it gets really special with us: birthday parties and family celebrations become unforgettable experiences in the countryside – just a few minutes from Bocholt, Rhede, Gescher, and Coesfeld.

During the Easter, summer, and fall breaks, we’re open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. Admission costs 8.00 euros for everyone who can already walk.

PLAY AREAS

Indoor play fun in any weather

Even when the weather doesn’t cooperate, LandLümmel is just the right place. In our large play barn, kids climb, slide, and romp in the straw – completely independent of wind and weather.

While the kids let off steam, parents can relax and enjoy the special atmosphere. Even a rainy day becomes a real experience.

Of course, you’ll also find restrooms and changing facilities with us.

Please note in winter that the seating area downstairs is heated – the play area upstairs is not directly heated. Therefore, we recommend packing thick socks and fleece jackets for the kids.

Our outdoor area opens its gates from Easter until the end of fall break and offers much more for playful kids between 0 and 99 years old with the large miscanthus maze, water slide, action-packed pedal car course, bouncy cushions, and the winding marble run.

And of course, not to forget – the highlight at LandLümmel – our highly popular scavenger hunt in the maze! With puzzle stations about “the forest and its friends” for young and old – even with a little surprise when the kids find the right answers in the maze.If you pack your swimwear, you can also try out our mud play area or cool off on our thrilling water slide. Our barrel stop changing room is also available for you.

During the outdoor season (from Easter until the end of fall break), our LandLümmel is open to everyone. Admission costs 8.00 euros for everyone who can already walk. During the winter season (from the end of fall break until Easter), visits are only possible with advance reservation.

Do you want to offer your children at school, kindergarten, or after-school care a very special experience? With us, you can play and romp close to nature in a protected setting. And in any weather. Our scavenger hunt is also a must. School children can complete the stations in the maze and solve the puzzle word, and kindergarten children can search for and count the robins.

Our LandLümmel is popular as a vacation destination and as an end-of-year celebration for kindergarten or school children. Every morning we have the LandLümmel reserved for you from 10 AM to 2 PM.

We also have a very special offer for you. Here, only the children pay the admission price. The supervisory staff from schools and kindergartens have free admission and the table fee is waived. Important: please arrange the date with us in advance so you have a weather-proof seat.

Celebrating at LandLümmel – play and fun are on the agenda. Whether it’s a birthday party, baptism, class celebration, communion, or an 80th birthday, celebrating in the barn always works. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about any program. Because with us it never gets boring and the kids can let off steam to their heart’s content.

Whether inside the barn or outside in the countryside – here they play, laugh, and celebrate until everyone is happy and tired.

We have a very special offer for kindergartens and schools in the morning hours. Here, only the children pay admission. The supervisory staff from schools and kindergartens are free and the table fee is waived. Important: advance appointment required.

Do you want to come celebrate with a large group? No problem. We offer you the following options:

Every group of 30 people or more enjoys our beverage service. In the Treckerschuppen and in the barn, refrigerators are available for you, filled with the following beverages:

OPENING HOURS

The play barn can be booked year-round by reservation.

From the start of Easter break until the end of fall break, we open our large outdoor area with a treasure hunt in our miscanthus maze as follows:

During school breaks, on weekends, and on public holidays, you can visit from 10 AM to 6 PM, and outside of school breaks starting June 1, from Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM, and on weekends from 10 AM to 6 PM. During these opening hours, we’ll provide you with cold and hot drinks, ice cream, and a large selection of snacks at our snack bar upon request.

In winter (after fall break until Easter break), the play barn can be booked online. Attention: The play barn will be closed for our Christmas market from November 20, 2026 to January 10, 2027.

Once a year, our young and older visitors get to experience some spooky fun: At Halloween, Landlümmel transforms into an oversized haunted house where there’s something eerie to discover around every corner.

This year we’re celebrating our beautifully spooky Halloween from October 16 to 18, from 5 PM to 9 PM each day. Tickets are available starting in August in our ticket shop under HALLOWEEN

We’re often asked…

Starting at Easter, we open on weekends, public holidays, and bridge days for spontaneous guests from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Starting in June, we open on weekdays from 2 PM to 6 PM and on weekends from 10 AM to 6 PM. 

During school breaks, we open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Tickets are available at the box office. 

During the winter season, we accept a maximum of three groups. If we’re not fully booked, a spontaneous visit with advance notice is possible. Just give us a call.

So come by and make LandLümmel your own.

At our kiosk, you can pay in cash or with all common debit cards for purchases of 10 euros or more.

At our snack bar, there are both hot and cold drinks and delicious food/snacks. You’re also welcome to bring drinks and food from home. But please don’t forget to bring a trash bag so you can take your trash with you. It cannot be disposed of here.
Large groups of 30 people or more must purchase drinks from us. We ask for a separate inquiry for this.

Of course, good spirits and lots of fun are a must with us. You should definitely bring weather-appropriate clothing. In winter, it’s advisable to have a change of clothes and non-slip socks with you. In summer, swimwear is a must so the kids can enjoy the mud play area and water slide.

Starting at Easter break, our kiosk is open on weekends, during school breaks, and on public holidays and bridge days from 10 AM to 6 PM. Starting June 1, our kiosk is also open on weekdays from 2 PM to 6 PM. During summer break, the kiosk is open from 10 AM to 6 PM. Starting at the end of fall break, our kiosk goes into winter break.

At our snack bar, you can get the following treats, which may vary:
Fries, chicken nuggets, curry and bratwurst, cold and hot drinks, various ice cream flavors, a huge selection of candy. The fries are gluten-free and are fried in a separate fryer.
You can pay conveniently in cash or by debit card for purchases of 10 euros or more.

Yes, dogs are warmly welcome at LandLümmel! We place great importance on ensuring that our little guests can move around safely and undisturbed. That’s why it’s important to us that dogs don’t run around freely on the premises and remain on a leash.

We ask that dogs do their business outside the premises. Since many children run around barefoot, we want to ensure that the play areas remain clean and hygienic.  

Our scavenger hunt through our miscanthus maze is included in the admission price. Next to the kiosk, there’s a hut with the answer cards you need for the scavenger hunt.

Various stations are set up in the maze where children can answer questions and punch the solution into the answer card. In the end, all stations should be completed (takes about 30-60 minutes) to enter the solution word on the answer card.

When you’re done, you can come back to the kiosk. There, each child receives a surprise and can drop their answer card into the red mailbox. With a bit of luck, you’ll win a pedal car, a scooter, or a birthday party at LandLümmel at the end of the season.   

A grill is available at our play barn and Treckerschuppen. These can be used after advance reservation (no fee). Please bring charcoal, fire starter, lighter, and grilling utensils. Please also bring dishes, cutlery, and cups. You’re also welcome to bring your own grill and use it on the gravel paths.
You should also bring a trash bag, as you cannot dispose of your trash with us.

There’s a power outlet in our play barn and in the Treckerschuppen. You’re welcome to use it.

Our LandLümmel has a lot to offer. Here’s a small selection of play options that are open at different times depending on the season:
